Kind Words from our Guests from the Past Year or So – Thank You!

This host has thought of everything you might need for a trip away. It had lots of thoughtful inclusions for example a picnic set in case you wanted to go somewhere to eat and even a cold bag and frozen ice bricks in case you went shopping and brought cold food. There was a steam iron as well as a regular iron, just terrific. I went there to get out of cooking but it had a fully equipped kitchen if I felt like it I could have baked a cake!

Peaceful and serene Sunshine Coast getaway

Thank you for making our holiday so special. We were amazed in so many ways, the beautiful view from our bedrooms & verandah. All the facilities & special touches that you did Cindy. I loved how big the showers were. You were so generous with your time & happy to inform us about the area you & your husband live in. I loved the bird life we saw. That was amazing. My grandson loved the verandah & watching the birds I pointed out. My daughter & son in law told me how beautiful your place was. It was their second visit to Silhouette Cottage this year. My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend for our 1st wedding anniversary. Cindy was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Really appreciated the touch with some fresh bread, the outdoor bath was amazing and nice fire pit. We loved waking up each morning to a wonderful view and enjoyed being right in the centre of the sunshine coast hinterland. Definitely a place I would recommend to someone wanting to disconnect from the busy work week.

This property is beautiful and literally has everything there. Just pack yourselves a bag and be on your way. Cindy was amazing and even drove us to my wedding because our cab never showed up Could not fault a thing.

Excellent cottage

From the very warm welcome from Cindy to our last day, we could not fault this accommodation. It is in a peaceful location, so beautifully appointed and with every amenity you could possibly wish for. Breakfast provisions were most generous, freshly baked bread included! My husband and I had a very enjoyable four day stay; Cindy is a great host, she has thought of everything to make guests happy and comfortable and I would thoroughly recommend this cottage. I certainly hope we can stay again. Thanks Cindy!

We had such a wonderful stay at Silhouette Cottage that we didn’t want to leave! The location is perfect with beautiful views and so peaceful. A special treat was a soak in the outdoor bathtub with a view of Mt. Ninderry. The house was immaculately clean and has everything you could possibly need. Finally Cindy was a perfect host, so helpful and friendly. We highly recommend a stay here and can’t wait to return!

Wonderful quiet retreat with everything

My wife and I stayed last weekend which was our second visit. It’s a place we can go to get away from the stresses of work and home. Everything is exceptional – from the items included with the kitchen to the well-appointed bathrooms – love the bath under the deck. The other well thought out design is that the two bedrooms and associated bathrooms are separated by the kitchen allowing privacy and an area for each couple. Can’t speak highly enough of the host, Cindy, who is fantastic to deal with. We will be staying again, just a matter of when.

Exceeded our high expectations

When we booked the Silhouette cottage, our expectations were very high knowing that it was an award-winning property and yet it still exceeded our expectations. Cindy is an expert host, perfectly striking the balance between giving you your space while always being there to help in any way (like giving suggestions on local restaurants or nearby beaches). Cindy is such a friendly and welcoming person and she specializes in surprising her clients in the most positive way (e.g. treats, homemade bread, a bottle of bubbly, fresh herbs from the garden etc etc). We spent 5 days at the Silhouette cottage and we would come back in a heartbeat if we are ever so lucky to have the opportunity. Cindy set a very high bar which we expect most/all future spots on our journey will have difficulty meeting. On a scale of 10, we would easily give the Silhouette cottage a 10+!

Amazing stay in a beautiful cottage

The cottage is beautifully appointed with all the amenities you could possibly need. The view from the deck is amazing. We loved watching the birds. Cindy and Pete were able to provide a portable cot and high chair for our 6 month old son, which we very much appreciated. The downstairs bath is also wonderful. We absolutely loved our stay at Silhouette Cottage. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Thank you Cindy for looking after us 🙂

I didn’t want to write a review, as I want to keep this place all to myself

Oh my goodness, what can I say? this place is just absolutely incredible, so incredible, we extended our stay after just a few hours. We were greeted by the lovely, warm Cindy, who showed us around this beautiful cottage. She even offered to drop us off and pick us up from a local restaurant. We have stayed in many accommodations across Australia and are always a bit disappointed in the cleanliness, but this place is absolutely immaculate. it’s pristine. Cindy has thought of everything, there’s equipment for baking, a garment steamer which came in so handy for my bridesmaid dress and even a yoga mat and block. The views from the veranda whilst enjoying a morning coffee are unbelievable but my favourite was enjoying a bath in the outdoor bathroom as the sun was going down. It is just pure luxury. I normally don’t sleep very well away from home but I was out like a light in the super comfy bed at Silhouette cottage. The little touches such as bottled water, choccies and freshly baked bread really make this place feel special. it was a perfect opportunity to relax and recharge.

This place is immaculate. The facilities are beautiful, the scenery picturesque and the hospitality is warm and inviting just like the cottage. Silhouette Cottage was everything we hoped it would be and more. The cottage itself is just beautiful, and the views from the deck are stunning. Quiet accommodation with everything provided

We stayed for a few relaxing days after a wedding nearby. House was private, very comfortable and very clean. All items you could possibly want were provided and we made use of the food hampers supplied by Cindy. The bath was lovely, the view was magnificent and the visiting birds were beautiful. Highly recommended.

Amazing weekend in a tranquil setting

Silhouette Cottage has been the nicest and most luxurious cottage we have stayed on the Sunshine coast. On arrival we were met by Cindy who was so friendly and welcoming. Her communication on everything and she also had printed out a booklet on all information regarding the cottage and surrounding areas. The personal touches were amazing such as freshly baked bread on arrival, a lovely chilled prosecco, chocolates by the bed, bottle filter water. The kitchen has everything you could possibly think of to cook and the pantry was so well stocked. There is a coffee machine with a selection of coffee pods and an amazing tea selection. Cindy went over and above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The cottage itself is luxurious, beautiful bath robes and slippers, fluffy white towels, 5 star treatment. The weather unfortunately meant we didn’t get the opportunity to sit outside more or use the BBQ, fire pit or outdoor luxury bath area but now that we have discovered this amazing cottage we cannot wait to return. Thank you Cindy for having us at Silhouette Cottage and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

Best Accommodation for a Girls Weekend

If you’re after a luxurious getaway on the Sunshine Coast, you have to stay at Silhouette Cottage. It truly is a gem of a place to stay in if you want 5 Star quality. The view from the deck is incredible and the layout of the cottage means you can enjoy the view from the bedrooms, kitchen, living and of course out on the deck. A gorgeous outdoor freestanding claw bath downstairs which faces the incredible view is an experience in itself. Every detail has been thought out in this cottage where you will have everything you need. We made the cottage our base for rejuvenation where we relaxed on the deck and chilled out. Fresh baked bread met us on arrival with chilled prosecco which started our girls’ weekend away perfectly. I can’t wait to come back and bring the family next time. Cindy, thank you for your hospitality. I’ve stayed at B&B’s and holiday homes around the world and you are the best in the business by far.

Peaceful, tranquil, relaxing getaway with beautiful views in a very comfortable home away from home.

We loved our stay at Silhouette Cottage. The cottage is so well equipped, it has everything you could imagine needing and more. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. The gardens and property are meticulously maintained. It is a relaxing, private sanctuary. We stayed as a family with 3 children 5, 4 & 2 years old and we were all very comfortable. We loved relaxing on the deck listening to and watching birds, playing in the yard, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and cooking in the kitchen and on the bbq and playing chess. We met our host Cindy on arrival and she is just lovely but after showing us around she left us to enjoy our holiday in private. Our daughter cried when we had to leave because she wanted to stay; we all enjoyed our holiday so much we can’t wait to return. It was also a great location to stay to enjoy the attractions that Yandina, Buderim and the surrounding area has to offer.

Home away from Home

We stayed for a weekend with our 1 yr old and had such a beautiful time away. On arrival Cindy gave us a tour of the property and pointed out all of the additions to the cottage, you would be pressed to find something this cottage doesn’t include. We were also welcomed with a gorgeous breakfast basket, sparkling wine, marshmallows for our daughter and all the necessary kitchen condiments and accessories to easily prepare any meal on site if you preferred to eat in. We were also provided with additional things to ensure our toddlers stay was easier.

The cottage is meticulously cleaned and beautifully styled. Beds were plush and comfortable and additional pillows, robes and slippers are also provided.

We loved roasting marshmallows around the fire, relaxing in the outdoor bath and enjoying the peaceful birdsong while enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony in the mornings.

It is clear that Cindy has really thought about guest experience to ensure everyone that steps foot in the cottage has a 5 star experience, every time. Other than your clothes and toothbrush you really can pack extremely light when you visit as there is ample stocks of everything on site and Cindy is more than happy to assist with any extras you may need.

(Be sure to check out the Yandina markets just a short drive away. We found these less commercialised and busy than Eumundi, and a great place to stock up on treats to enjoy at the cottage).

We can’t recommend this property enough and really look forward to returning in the future. My only suggestion is to book longer than 2 nights because you will not want to leave once you’ve arrived. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Tranquil amazingly appointed cottage

Great location for a girls weekend away. The cottage is beautifully appointed with fully equipped kitchen etc etc & a great deck overlooking the mountains. We did some lovely walks nearby and the cottage is a short drive to the Eumundi markets.

Cindy spoiled us with transfers to and from The Spirit House for a memorable evening meal!  Very enjoyable break.

Quiet, relaxing getaway location

My partner and I recently stayed at Silhouette Cottage for our babymoon, and could not have been more impressed. The location is fantastic, close enough to town but with a lovely secluded feel. The cottage itself was lovely; immaculately kept with so many homely touches, and the outdoor bathroom is so cute! Cindy truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and relaxing, and she had thought of literally everything we could have wanted/needed while on holiday. We would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a quiet holiday away from the big smoke.

Relaxing getaway

Silhouette Cottage was both sophisticated and modern, yet so cozy, and since everything, and more was there ready there for us it made it so easy to move in and relax for the weekend. It was quiet and private, perfect for a relaxing soak in the outdoor tub, or reading with a cuppa on the veranda enjoying the local wildlife. Cindy was warm and welcoming, and it was the small touches that added to the cottage’s charm; warm, freshly baked bread on arrival, a lovely chilled prosecco, chocolates by the bed. Everything you need and more

Immaculate and extremely well appointed. Everything you might need has been thought of. Excellent value for money. Perfect cabin for a romantic getaway or a family retreat.

We loved our stay here, the cabin has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. With a beautiful setting – you really feel like you are staying in a secluded Cabin. Owner has gone above and beyond to make your stay equipped and comfortable.  And even adds a personal touch with a friendly greeting and freshly baked bread. Wi-Fi ,Netflix and games will impress the kids, while a private outside bubble bath with a glass of bubbles will recharge the parents, then rejoin with cooking marshmallows around the fire pit. Perfect place for a getaway. We will definitely return.

I booked Silhouette Cottage, for my parents, for a weekend getaway. They have been raving about it all day. 10/10. Exceeded Expectations

Accommodation was absolutely fantastic. Booked it because it looked lovely in the pictures, but it’s even nicer once you’re there. The host, Cindy, greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property (and a loaf of delicious, freshly baked bread!). Every little thing you can think of is provided, and there’s so much care and attention to detail put into the design and amenities provided, which just made it all an incredibly comfortable and luxurious stay. The inside is modern, spacious and comfortable, and the view from the deck is spectacular – we spent hours there reading books on the couches. Also highly recommend the outdoor bath – the ultimate relaxation spot! Location was also perfect for us. It’s a beautiful and scenic part of the world, and an easy drive to beaches, hiking trails, and several interesting villages in the Sunshine Coast hinterland are (recommend checking out Eumundi and Montville, in particular).

Would happily recommend this place to others.

Perfect! Hands down the best stay ever for us.

We enjoyed and cherised every minute of our stay at Cindy’s serene abode. No amount of words can actually be enough for complementing the stay. The Cottage – Immaculately maintained, every nook and corner has been thoughtfully designed. The view of the valley and the Mt Ninderry is breath taking and can be enjoyed from almost every room in the cottage. If you need the Oomph factor just walk down alongside the cottage and it leads to the semi open bath.  Just take in your favourite drink, bubble it up, immerse and just let loose. No pictures can actually do justice. The Hosts – Cindy and Pete are both gems of people.  Cindy would go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. She was very clear in communicating everything and also had every detail of each printed out on a booklet just in case you missed something. All the rave reviews of her home cooked Bread are true and we have become a fan of it . We got stuck due to the recent floods and they made sure we had no shortage of food or any essential supplies and offered to accommodate us until we were safe to drive back home. We find ourselves so blessed to have been acquainted with them. Can’t thank enough!

NB: Tesla & EV Owners: There is a 3 point 8 amp socket in the car port next to the cottage!!

Everything you could hope for…and MORE!

My partner and I were blown away by our whole experience, we could not have asked for a better anniversary celebration. The level of hospitality was second to none; from the comprehensive tour of the cottage, the freshly baked loaf of bread, and the detailed guide of activities in the area. The cottage itself was spotless, modern, and more than fully furnished, full of any creature comforts you could think of for a weekend away. We made full use of the Nespresso machine, whipped up snacks in the fully-equipped kitchen, and lounged in the adorable, garden-view, couple’s bathtub.

We will be recommending this for anyone looking to treat themselves and their friends and partners!

Amazing – will 100% visit again

Everything about our stay here was wonderful. Cindy greeting us and making us feel extremely welcome, and then entering an absolutely beautiful cottage with an even better view of the mountains and the beautiful forest Sunshine Coast has to offer! Where do I start? The cottage is beautifully appointed, the views are perfect and the peace and quiet away from the madding crowds immense. Cindy is the perfect host, she left us to enjoy our time but always there and very contactable if we needed anything. The finishing touches are endless… from the welcome freshly baked bread to the comfortable beds. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm and the pantry is well stocked with the basic staples so no need to take or buy absolutely everything. There is a coffee machine with a selection of coffee pods to last the entire stay. Bottled water and chocolates at the side of the bed. The list goes on and on.
